Mimimyne has created this beautiful retro styled swimsuit or romper with the help of Sally Hemphill whose exclusive design this is! We met on the school run when I admired her daughter's beautiful clothes and she has come up with a fantastic way to reuse fabrics - often from soft furnishing offcuts - and create lovely, vintage style designs from them. The clothes are sewn by Heba, a women's collective in East London which helps disadvantaged local women learn new skills and find employment. This is the start of our new babywear range. This beautiful swimsuit/romper in a floral chintz with a pale blue patterned lining is available in Small (6-12 Months). It has a contrast lining of a pale blue floral design, an adjustable halterneck and an ornamental bow on the reverse. There is lovely detailing with elasticated leg holes and contrast lining on the strap. Fabrics are all either cotton or can be treated like cotton (eg linen) so you can wash these at a low temperature. They can be worn in the pool, sea or on the beach just like a modern swimsuit, and for babies this makes charming daywear in hot weather!
